Dr. Karima Velji is Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief of Nursing and Practice within the Office of the Chief of Nursing and Professional Practice at the Ontario Ministry of Health. Her expertise encompasses the development and implementation of innovative models of care, inter-professional practice, as well as quality and safety systems to foster patient-centred outcomes. She has served in a number of senior executive positions at academic health science centres and holds a PhD in nursing science from the University of Toronto. 

Matthew Anderson is the President and CEO of Ontario Health, charged with connecting, coordinating and modernizing the province’s health care system. He is an experienced health care leader, team-builder and change advocate, serving as CEO at Lakeridge Health, William Osler Health System, and the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network.
